I am a volunteer Board Member of Shadow Ranch Homeowner’s Association. We meet monthly to go over financials, new and old business. We oversee our local Community Manager in dealing with homeowner and vendor tasks in our 44-unit townhouse community.
The community contains smaller and medium sized town houses under Condominium permitting (COA), was originally built in 1974 and was rehabilitated for structural, hazmat and utility codes following the Northridge Earthquake in 1994. I also manage their WordPress.com website, homeowner email distribution system, and Google Groups (internal) system.
Prior to living in the Shadow Ranch community I owned a mobile home in Oakcrest Estates for 8 years and also served on their HOA Board for two terms as Treasurer. Oakcrest Estates is a planned mobile home community built in 1979 and containing 158 site graded manufactured homes. I managed their WordPress.com website and email distribution system. I was also a member of their Rent Control Committee supporting fixed income, disabled and elderly home owners during administrative hearings between home owners, the park operator who filed applications for MNOI rent increases, and the City of San Jose.
